Teen D&D
at Valley Rollers
For players aged 13 to 17
Never played before? You’ll do just fine.
Our Teen D&D table is for young players who want to play Dungeons & Dragons in a friendly, small-group session.
The game is run by an accomplished teen Dungeon Master, supported by the Valley Rollers crew. She’ll guide the adventure and keep the story moving, while we stay nearby to help with rules and support the table.
If you’ve always wanted to give D&D a go, this is a good place to start.

What is Teen D&D
It is a Dungeons & Dragons one-shot for players aged 13 to 17.
A one-shot means the adventure starts and finishes in the same session. No homework, or needing to remember what happened last time.
You’ll choose from ready-made characters, sit round the table, and head into the story together.
So what do we actually do?
Mostly, you say what your character wants to do.
You might look round a room. Ask someone a question. Try to sneak past danger. Climb through a window. Start a conversation. Avoid a fight. Touch something you probably should not have touched.
The Dungeon Master tells you what happens next, and the story moves on from there.
If something is simple, it just happens. If something is risky or could go badly, you roll dice to see how it goes.
That is the basic shape of it. You do not need to memorise anything before you arrive.
What kind of game are we playing?
We’ll be playing Dungeons & Dragons as a one-shot.
The table is small, friendly, and beginner-welcoming. You might be playing for the first time, or you might have rolled a few dice before.
Either way, the aim is the same: have a good time, play a fun adventure, and not worry about getting everything perfect.
There are 5 player spaces max.

Booking required
We’ll do a quick intro, get everyone settled, choose characters, explain what you need to know, and then crack on with the game.
There will be a break halfway through.
You can also leave the table if you need a breather. No fuss. Sometimes people just need a minute.
What do I bring?
Just bring yourself.
We have the dice, character sheets, pencils, and ready-made characters. There is no homework to do beforehand.
No need to read the rulebook or to watch hours of videos. We will explain things as they come up and keep it moving.
Phones stay away from the table during play, so everyone can listen, join in, and stay with the adventure.
How we play together
D&D works best when everyone gets a little space to join in.
You can be loud or quiet. You can know the rules or be learning as you go. You can ask questions. You can take a breather if you need one.
We’ll help the table keep moving, make sure everyone gets a turn, and keep things friendly.
If something feels confusing, awkward, or too much, speak to the DM or someone from Valley Rollers. We're a friendly bunch.
Can I come with a friend?
Yes.
Friends are welcome, but each player needs their own booked place.
This is not a drop-in table. There are only 5 spaces, so please book in advance.
